Versatility won me

I chose this power station for my anticipated glamping because of it's versatility. By this I mean it powers DC, DC 12v, AC (wall plug), USB-A and USB-C, PLUS wireless phone charging. Plus it can power on the way via DC 12v in the car. I was advised it would run a 45lt camp fridge for over 50 hours and this sold me. It has a good rep and the Customer Service was faultless. You could say I'm a fan.

Excellent portable power station.

Due to the fact that we have multiple days per year when the power is turned off to homes in our area to enable rectifying work to be carried out, I was looking for a power station that would run a modem, router and other small appliances during a power outage. I have since tested my Bluetti EB55 and it looks like it will run between 6 to 8 hours when connected to my modem and router. This is exactly what I have been after, and not surprisingly, the power company has advised that they will be working in our area tomorrow, so the electricity will be turned off between 9 am and 3 pm, so a pratical test coming up tomorrow.

Q1: How do I know whether my appliance can work well with the EB55?

A:

Calculate the total wattage of your devices. EB55 should work if the load doesn't exceed its rated 700W.
Note: For some devices with motor/compressor, the initial start-up power may be 2-4 times the rating, which may trigger overload/overcurrent protection.
Q2: How long can it run my device?

A:

Running time = Battery capacity × DoD × η ÷ Device rated power

DoD refers to Depth of Discharge and η is local inverter efficiency.

For EB55, both DoD and η are 90%. If you run a 500W blender with it, the running time will be: 537Wh × 90% × 90% ÷ 500W ≈ 0.8hrs

Note:

1) The formula is NOT suitable for inductive loads with compressors, like refrigerator, air conditioner, etc.

2) The above data is for reference ONLY.
Q3: What kind of solar panel can charge this EB55?

A:

PV input requirements for EB55:
1) Open Circuit Voltage (OCV) :12-28V; Input Power: 200W Max.;
2) Equipped with MC4 Connector. If your panel has an Anderson connector, please purchase Anderson to MC4 cable, separately.

Yes, the EB55 supports pass-through charging; equipped with the premium LiFePO4 battery and the advanced Battery Management System, just feel free to use it the way that better suits your needs.But please note that this unit cannot be used as an UPS.
